Brenton N. Farmer Memorial Fund
This Memorial Fund has been set up in loving memory of our son and brother, Brent. All funds will go to support the Contra Costa chapter of the National Alliance for Mental Illness (NAMI).
Brent was devoted to animals and enjoyed close companionship from the family dog, Beau. He loved nature and was an avid fisherman. He reveled in besting his family members on the tennis court. He liked hanging out with the guys and listening to music.
Sadly, for the last 19 years, Brent struggled with a serious mental illness. When he was first diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder, we were overwhelmed by the magnitude of the situation. NAMI was a life-saving resource to our entire family. NAMI offered family-to-family peer counseling, legal and medical guidance, and invaluable emotional support through an exceedingly difficult journey. Brent’s father, Al, was the President of the Contra Costa chapter for many years and continues to serve as a Board member. We are deeply indebted to the NAMI community and will continue to be involved going forward.
We thank you for your donation. Any amount will make a difference for NAMI and for people, like Brent, who suffer from mental illness along with their families.

We send our deepest condolences with love and support to your family.
Although no words can really help to erase the loss you bear, just know that you are very close in every thought and prayer. I pray that God will give you strength and courage in your time of bereavement.
Hold tight to memories for comfort.
I was so sad to learn about Brent's passing, and was very moved at the service to celebrate his life. Your family is an inspiration of how to love and support each other with courage and grace.
Sending love and sympathy,
Brent's Celebration of Life was very loving, touching and informative.
Thanks for sharing Brent’s life journey with all of us.
Be strong under God’s loving care.
Hugs from Norm and Maggie Eggen.
There are no words. You are forever in our hearts and we keep Brent in our memory.
